American Chaos: Blame It on The Libertarians

Immediately after the last election, I wrote a scathing post in which I said that the Biden Administration would be an absolute disaster, not only for the US but also for the whole world, and castigated the Libertarians, of which I am one but registered Non-affiliated, for not voting against Biden by voting for Trump, whom I voted for. This was because in hairline race after hairline race, the Libertarian vote of about 1.5% in many places in the US would have been the difference between having Trump as President instead of Biden.

By voting for an obscure college professor, completely unknown to the American public, the free-market libertarians allowed to waltz into office the most socialistic hyperinflationary administration in US history, and the consequences have been devastating for hundreds of millions of Americans and foreigners.

For the first time in modern US history, the Americans had a capitalistic businessman at the head of the government, and in many ways the country was running better, despite Trump’s bloated defense budgets, his dismal approach to the environment, and continued national debt growth. But in foreign policy he reduced international tensions, and practiced diplomacy with some of the most dangerous hotspots in the world, while he tried to negate the possibility of a nuclear war between Iran and Israel.

And basically Trump was a Capitalist, not a career politician who was a lawyer. And for the first time in supposedly capitalist America, a real Capitalist was in office and running for reelection against a big government career politician, who had thrown millions of Americans in cages for years for possessing cannabis, but do the Libertarians support him to prevent a far worse curse to descend on the Republic? No. Do they avenge themselves on the Prohibitionist Biden, who helped jail millions of black youths for years for crack cocaine, while the college crew got off with probation for their powdered coke. No, rather than take their vengeance on a vile Prohibitionist, who had committed what deserved to be called a Capital Crime against the Property Rights of Americans by caging them like animals for years for possessing something, they vote the Party of Principle vote for an obscure college professor.

How quickly the Crimes of Politicians are forgotten.

There are some people so bad that one has a necessity to vote against them. To distinguish this case from the case where two horribly mediocre politicians, as usual, are running against each other, is a skill that the Libertarians don’t seem to have learned. When mediocrity versus mediocrity is the only game, voting the Libertarian alternative makes great sense.

And now the damage of the Biden years is already done, and the Youth of America are locked in a prison of hyperinflation, and constant economic pressure. All thanks to the Libertarian vote in the Presidential election.

Of course, in another sense, far more blame is to be attached to two other groups than the Libertarians, who, bless ’em, at least took the trouble to vote and to show their displeasure at the two main parties, who are really one party on most issues of principle. Nor can you blame anyone for stubbornly voting their Principles. Those two other groups who could have saved the Republic, but didn’t, were firstly those who didn’t bother to vote. Perhaps they’re now going hungry because of what they didn’t do two years ago. And then those who voted for Biden, who richly deserve what they’ve gotten for they are the ones who put this caitiff into power.

But perhaps some of the Libertarians — and libertarians are often on diametrically opposed ends of issues, as for example Ron Paul’s and Murray Rothbard’s views on abortion — have woken up, for in Arizona we see the Libertarian candidate for the Senate dropping out and urging his supporters to vote for the Republican, giving him the 3% that the Libertarian was polling. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

Libertarians need to learn to distinguish between those politicians who allow one to live fairly normally, and those who stink up the kitchen so badly that one cannot breathe.

— Paul Grad, Libertarian
